Relocation

Moving to a new community comes with it own special brand of anxiety and your attitude to a long distance move has as much to do with how you feel about the move as what is prompting the move. Is it a new job or job transfer? Are you leaving your family roots behind or coming back to those same roots? What is your time frame? If you are moving due to a job opportunity is your employer helping you in any way with the move? Other considerations are quality of schools, ease of commuting, shopping and the biggie – where are you going to live?

You do not have to bear this burden alone, and this is where a relocation certified Realtor like Gregg Tepper can be a tremendous resource and aide. All Realtors are not relocation certified. To receive the training that I completed, you have to have sold a certain amount of sales volume as well as be tested in several different disciplines. We (my staff and I) can ease your anxiety and help logistically whether you are incoming or outgoing. We work with your relocation provider if you are receiving a moving benefits package, whether directly with your employer, or through a relocation services company. Of course your needs are different if you are moving into or out of the area. Regardless if you are arriving or departing, you are entitled to certain tax deductions.

If you are moving to the area, I can honestly say that I LOVE living here, and I have lived on all three coasts. I grew up in the northeast, lived for many years on the west coast in San Francisco and decided to settle down here on the Northshore. There truly is a love of life, music and food here. On the Northshore that love is set to a backdrop of pine forests, rivers, lakes and bayous, so if you like the outdoors, you are coming to the right place. The schools are ranked the best in the state and the people really are, well…friendly.

As your Realtor we guide through the various communities so you can get a feel for the overall area and then we target specific neighborhoods to find a home that best suits your lifestyle. Our goal is to get you settled into your new home as quickly and seamlessly as possible. We can put you in contact with lenders, moving companies, contractors, schools, insurance companies as well as services you will need for your everyday life: auto mechanic, doctors, chiropractors, hair dressers and much more.

For those moving away, I do not like when we lose good people out of the area. I did learn long ago however, not to stand in the way of other’s people’s dreams, so we wish you God speed on your journey. The last thing you need to worry about as you move to a new area, is your old house. We can take that burden off your shoulders as we also put you in touch with a Realtor in your new location. We can get that property sold and make sure it stays secure, if it is vacant during the sales process. Selling a home when there is a relocation company involved does involve extra procedures and paperwork such as getting contractor bids, pre-inspections, appraisals, and a buyout. We are familiar with all them and would love the opportunity to help you as you start a new chapter in your life.

So, if you are relocating, please feel free to contact us with your specific needs and goals. This is a no hassle, no obligation process. Your information will remain confidential with us and will never be given out. As a thank you we will send you a FREE guide to the tax benefits that may be available to you. On a quick side note, some employers may want you to pick a Realtor off their list. Remember, you have a choice with whom you work with and it is easy for an employer to add a Realtor to their list especially if they are already trained in the relocation field. We have done this many times in the past. Again, there is no hassle or obligation to filling out the “Relocation Profile for Optimum Service” form. We are here to help you. Just complete the form below to get started.
